Job Description
As a Unit Production Manager (UPM) of a film, you will have to plan the motion of the film as you will be the primary administrator during the shooting period. You will often have to teleport yourself between the office and the film set, communicate with suppliers, drivers, institutions etc.
You will be breaking down the script and estimating costs in order to develop the budget of the production of the film. Another task you might be involved with together with the 1st Assistant Director is the preparation of the production schedule based on the budget of the film. Then, you will have to make sure that the budget and the production plan are used correctly.
It’s in your authority to coordinate the transportation and accommodation of the cast and crew during the shootings.
